"Tanner's Kids" is an Arizona non-profit organization whose focus is to promote the game of hockey through the memory of friend and teammate Tanner Catalano who played the game with incredible passion.
The program is a FREE introductory program, consisting of three (3) classes, for boys & girls ages 4-12 interested in learning to skate and try hockey basics. Offered as the Ice Den's Scottsdale version of the Arizona Coyotes "Little Howlers", Tanner's Kids at the Ice Den Scottsdale is slightly modified and is taught by the Ice Den's Scottsdale professional coaching staff with volunteer on-ice help from members of the Tanner's Kids Foundation.
The goal of the program is to remove the financial burden of having to purchase hockey equipment, which prevents hundreds of kids from ever knowing if they want to play hockey. By providing equipment and instruction at no-cost, families have the opportunity to try the sport without the financial risk and as a result the organization continues to grow the game by introducing the sport to more kids.
Tanner's Kids will be on hiatus during the 2017-18 hockey season. Watch for session dates and registration to open this spring.

This is a true BEGINNERS CLASS designed to introduce new kids to basic skating skills. As the foundation for the sport of hockey, skating is the primary focus. However, hockey sticks will be used during class #3 for some basic hockey fun.
Tanner's Kids is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that relies heavily on donations and our two annual fundraisers - the Tanner Golf Tournament and Tanner's Cup Hockey Tournament.
