Learn to Skate Summer Session #2 will be held June 18 - August 3, 2024.  Offering classes for all ages and levels on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays in Scottsdale and Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays in Chandler.

USFS membership fees expire annually on June 30 - regardless of when a skater's most recent membership was purchased. All Skaters must have current 2024-2025 LTS USA membership. The LTS USA $19 non-refundable fee (valid July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025) is required.

Registrations for returning members received after 10:00 a.m. Monday of Week #1 will incur a $25 late registration fee.

Returning members must register before 10 a.m. Monday (6/17) of Week #1 regardless of selected class day/time to avoid late fee.

Get into the Groove at the Ice Den Totally 80's Skating Extravaganza - Saturday, June 15 at the Ice Den Scottsdale!

The Annual Ice Den Ice Show features current participants of Ice Den Scottsdale and Ice Den Chandler Learn to Skate Sessions Winter #3 & Summer #1, (March 26 - June 15, 2024) as well as all Figure Skating Private Lesson students of both Ice Den Chandler/Scottsdale staff instructors.

Join us for a totally awesome time! Spectators will be treated to rad performances choreographed to songs from the 80s!

The six (6) week Learn to Play program is hosted by the Arizona Coyotes in partnership with the NHL and USA Hockey. Each player receives a full set of hockey gear to keep, on-ice instruction by Coyotes Alumni Players and fun with Howler!

Due to limited ice availability, there will not be a Little Howlers Scottsdale scheduled this spring.

We encourage you to review all Little Howlers sessions throughout the valley to find one that works for you!

Select weekday Spring Break Skates feature $10 admission all ages for 2-hour session with family friendly music (with 20 minute intermission), including skate rental.

It all starts with Learn to Skate:

Three levels of Pre-Hockey classes are offered in six (6) week sessions throughout the year for skaters ages 4 and up.

Skaters are coached basic hockey skating skills focusing on hockey stance, stride, knee bend and edge use. As players progress they are gradually introduced to hockey gear and hockey sticks by Pre-Hockey 3.

Pre-Hockey Prerequisite: PH-1 Skaters must be able to skate across the ice unassisted in hockey skates both forward and backward, and glide on one foot.

Upon completion of Pre-Hockey 3, players are invited to participate in the CDP Initiation Program (IP). IP serves as a bridge between Learn to Skate and house/recreational hockey by teaching players hockey rules, concepts and introducing scrimmage play. Graduation from the Initiation Program leads to the Coyotes Development Program for age divisions Mini-Mite, Mite, Squirt, Peewee and Bantam. The program features a fall/winter house hockey season, as well as clinics and camps. Players are given equal opportunity to participate and encouraged to play all positions. Registration opens annually in June.

Join the Arizona Coyotes as they host the 4th Annual Skatin' for Leighton presented by Phoenix Children's at Mountain America Stadium on Sunday, January 21.

The partnership between the Coyotes and Phoenix Children's honors and commemorates the life and legacy of Leighton Accardo, while raising funds toward youth female hockey in the Valley of the Sun. Accardo was a patient at Phoenix Children's during her courageous battle with cancer.

The public is invited to come out and roller skate, run or walk the track and enjoy the festival of music, food, and games at the stadium starting between 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. with track hours open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Enjoy two hours of public skating with a 20-minute intermission featuring festive lighting and family friendly music.
